The 40V Max XGT Compact Brushless Lithium-Ion 1/2 in. Cordless Hammer Drill Driver (Tool Only) (GPH02Z) breaks new ground for the most demanding drilling and driving applications in wood, masonry and metal. Hammer-drill mode applies a percussive motion for drilling holes in concrete or masonry. This hammer-driver drill is compact in size, making it ideal for tight spaces.

The GPH02Z is powered by a Makita-built brushless motor that delivers 585 in-lbs. of Max Torque. It offers two speed settings (0-550 and 0-2200 RPM and 0-8250 and 0-33000 BPM). An ultra-smooth variable speed trigger provides optimum control.

It is a workhorse tool engineered to outlast with Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) to provide increased dust and water resistance in harsh jobsite conditions. A reinforced gear housing and all-metal gear transmission provide additional durability.

XGT is a system of equipment, tools, batteries and chargers utilizing 40V Max Lithium-Ion batteries. XGT is engineered to deliver high power to take on high-demand applications, allowing users to completely transition to a cordless job site. XGT is equipped with advanced brushless motor engineering, intelligent digital communication, and superior durability features to outpower, outsmart and outlast the competition.

Makita Standard Warranty

The Makita Standard Warranty applies to both new and factory-reconditioned Makita tools. Every Makita tool is thoroughly inspected and tested before leaving the factory. If you are not satisfied with any Makita tool within 30 days of purchase, return it and Makita will provide a replacement or refund. Each Makita tool is warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for the period of ONE YEAR from the date of original purchase. Should any trouble develop during this one-year period, return the COMPLETE tool, freight prepaid, to one of Makita's Factory or Authorized Service Centers.

Each NEW Makita Lithium‐Ion Power Tool, Battery and Charger is warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for the period of THREE YEARS from the date of original purchase

If inspection shows the trouble is caused by defective workmanship or material, Makita will repair (or at its option, replace without charge).

This Warranty does not apply where:
  • Repairs have been made or attempted by others
  • Repairs are required because of normal wear and tear
  • The tool has been abused, misused or improperly maintained
  • Alterations have been made to the tool
